Touring Viet-nam doesn't sound like it was much fun. I know now why my dad and mother wouldn't let me join the Navy after high school. I was a year younger than the rest of the class so was only 17 when I graduated and couldn't join until I was 18 without their permission and by that time had a good job at Pacific NW Bell. I hope you realize Bob how much the rest of us are very proud of you and all the other Vets who have served. I personally was pretty ticked off that Casius Clay got out of serving, for religious reasons but could beat the hell out of his opponent and that was okay? Good job on the website.

I was an Advisor in Di An from Aug 1968-69. Your DI An USO photo caught my attention. Our team was located just behind it. I put a profile in the Together We Served web site covering my 22 years in the Army. I put over 83 pictures with narratives into my Di An tour. .I was looking on the Google satellite for Hill 82 where we killed 12 VC in September 1968. I believe the hill is in one of your pictures. I'd like to talk to you on the phone, if possible. If you are interested, I can give you the link to my Together We Served page. If you like it, I can send you an invitation and you can build your own profile. Regards, Lefty

I was at Di An twice. 3/1967- 2/1968 then again from 10/1968- 11/1969. On my second extension, I was site chief at Song Be.My MOS was 31M40.At Song Be, we were in support of the 6/27 Arty. B Btry. I think they finally named that Camp Martin. It's good to hear from some of the guys from that time.If I can get it to go through, I'll send you a pic of a few of the guys. Thanks for the contact and Welcome home,Brother. Bob
